About the Position

Mr. Appliance is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) & Parts Specialist to join our team in Waterford, Michigan.

This position is an important part of our daily operations. The right candidate will help deliver an excellent customer experience while keeping parts, inventory, and office operations running smoothly.

We are looking for someone who is confident on the phone, detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and able to take ownership of responsibilities. Job Responsibilities

Customer Service & Office Operations

  • Answer incoming customer calls professionally and courteously.
  • Schedule service appointments and communicate appointment details.
  • Assist customers with questions, concerns, and service-related follow-ups.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer and job information in the company software system.
  • Monitor open service calls and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Help ensure customers receive timely updates and a positive service experience.
  • Process customer payments and assist with related administrative duties.

Parts Management & Inventory

  • Identify, order, and track appliance parts needed for service calls.
  • Coordinate with parts suppliers and vendors regarding availability, pricing, and delivery.
  • Monitor incoming parts and ensure they are properly received and organized.
  • Track parts assigned to technicians and specific service jobs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Process parts returns and warranty credit requests according to company procedures.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders, returns, and credits to ensure timely resolution.
  • Keep the parts area organized and maintain accurate documentation.

Organization & Accountability

  • Prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and keep operations moving.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established company procedures.
  • Communicate problems promptly rather than allowing them to go unresolved.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks from start to completion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and customer service.
  • Work independently while keeping management informed of important issues.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years of experience in customer service, parts, inventory, administration, or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • Strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience in appliance repair, automotive parts, HVAC, plumbing, or another service-based industry is a plus but is not required.
