Position: Appliance Repair Technician

Overview:

Mr. Appliance of West Loop is seeking a skilled and motivated Appliance Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will diagnose and repair a variety of home appliances, ensuring our customers’ appliances are functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and Repair: Identify issues with home appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers. Perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Provide Estimates: Offer accurate cost estimates for repairs and explain the services needed to customers in a clear and professional manner.
• Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on the status of repairs and answering any questions they may have.
• Parts Management: Order necessary parts and ensure efficient use of company materials. Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools.
• Collect Payments: Handle payment collection for completed work, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all repairs, including the diagnosis, parts used, and work performed.
• Ensure Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and customers.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in appliance repair is preferred. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Skills: Strong technical and mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA, NASTeC) are a plus but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
